Bermuda's Birds
Despite being a small oceanic island, Bermuda has a high diversity of bird species. Many hundreds of species have been recorded from Bermuda, most arriving as migrants or accidental visitors (vagrants). These migratory birds stay for a time then move on, while a few species are true residents that live in Bermuda continuously. The most common resident bird species and those that return regularly to breed in Bermuda are shown below.
